Courtney received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science and she graduated with a Master’s degree from Brenau University in Occupational Therapy. She has focused her energies and continued education on sensory integration strategies/techniques, hippotherapy, and animal assisted therapy. Courtney has always preferred to involve animals in her professional career. She has been involved with animal assisted therapy, animal assisted activities and hippotherapy. She completed the American Hippotherapy Association level I training and spent 10 years as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor (Therapeutic Horsemanship and was a Level II certified PATH instructor) prior to returning to school for Occupational Therapy. Courtney would like to continue to grow her skills related to Sensory Integration treatment techniques, neuroplasticity, and developing/conducting research studies.
