Paddle Boarding Aquatic Therapy
Why Paddle Boarding Aquatic Therapy ?
Offered from May through August, paddle boarding provides a fun, therapeutic experience for children. This activity helps improve balance, coordination, strength, and motor skills while enhancing physical, occupational, and speech development. Set in the serene outdoors of Lake Lanier, children can enjoy the benefits of paddle boarding aquatic therapy, try a new sport, and boost their skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. This type of therapy is perfect for children seeking to build confidence and have fun while making progress in their therapy goals.
What Is Paddle Boarding Aquatic Therapy?
With a paddleboard incorporated into the therapy, children benefit from added challenges that promote balance, coordination, and core strength. The dynamic nature of paddle boarding also helps improve posture, stability, and endurance as children learn to maintain balance.
Paddle boarding aquatic therapy encourages kids to engage their muscles in new ways, offering both resistance from the water and the challenge of maintaining stability on the board. This activity allows children to build key movement skills without the fear of falling or injury, which boosts their confidence and excitement to participate.

What to Expect
To get started with pediatric therapy, we begin with a comprehensive evaluation to better understand your child’s unique needs and create a personalized plan of care.
1. Referral
Even though your insurance may not require a referral, we do prefer to have one to ensure that your child’s primary care provider stays involved in their care so we can provide the best service possible.
2. Evaluation
Once you contact us, our dedicated intake coordinator will reach out within three days of receiving your referral to schedule the evaluation. You can complete our new patient intake forms ahead of time.
3. Recommendation
During the evaluation, our skilled therapist will assess your child’s needs, discuss your concerns, and provide an initial recommendation for treatment frequency. Afterward, our front office team will handle the scheduling and discuss next steps with you.
Accepted Insurance Providers
At Tender Ones, we are in-network with Georgia Medicaid, Georgia Amerigroup, and CareSource. We will also bill all private insurance. Before your child’s evaluation, we will verify your benefits and provide our best estimate of your financial responsibility.
For families without insurance coverage or for whom we are out of network, we offer special private pay rates for services.
